Attractions in Ghana & Ashanti Region Tourism Guide..

Ghana Attractions Start Right Outside Your Door!

Lake Bosumtwi Paradise Resort is located directly on the shores of its namesake. The lake was formed by a falling Meteorite about 1.3 million years ago, as determined by rock analysis in 1965. Fossils of many animals including Lions, Elephants, Tigers, Black Cobras, Pythons, Alligators and many more were also found along the rivers banks indicating that these animals once inhabited the area.

Lake Bosumtwi is 90 meters deep, with a diameter of 10.5 Km. The lake's water volume is kept constant by two rivers and ground water. Lake Bosumtwi is surrounded by thickly vegetated crater walls that exceed 600 meters in height. The Paradise Resort, built along it's shore, offers a splendid view with easy access to the clear and cool water for swimming boating or fishing. The lake shore and the crater rim make a wonderful spot for walking, hiking or exploring.
